Visit Hagia Sophia, built by Emperor Justinian between 532 and 537. Initially a church, it later became a mosque and a museum. Next, we’ll visit Topkapi Palace, the Ottoman Empire's administrative centre, for over 400 years. This historic palace showcases a stunning collection of jewels, daggers, swords, and other artefacts associated with the Sultans.
After a lunch break at a local restaurant, we’ll stroll through Hippodrome Square, where horse races and political events once occurred. Here, you'll see the Serpent Column, the Egyptian Obelisk, and the German Fountain. We will then visit the Blue Mosque, renowned for its six minarets and beautiful blue tiles.
Finally, we'll explore the Grand Bazaar, the world's oldest and largest covered market. It features 61 streets and over 4,000 shops selling various goods.

After an early breakfast, we will drive through Bolu, a city in Turkey's Black Sea Region known for its natural beauty and history. We’ll explore highlights like the Yıldırım Beyazit Mosque and Orta Hamam.
Next, we’ll arrive at Gölcük Lake, at an elevation of 1,100 meters, for a refreshing walk. This lake is famous for its beautiful water lilies. We'll take a lunch break in Bolu to savour local dishes.
Our next stop is Abant Lake, located in a forest 1,350 meters above sea level. The journey offers lush forest views. We'll spend the rest of the day enjoying nature walks by the lake, with options for horseback riding, a phaeton ride, and a relaxing coffee break while enjoying the stunning scenery.
Dinner and accommodation in Bolu. ( Breakfast )
After breakfast, we will begin a 3-hour journey to Amasra, about 190 km away. We will pass through beautiful forests, canyons, valleys, and charming villages along the way.
Our first stop will be in Devrek town, known for its handmade walking canes, where we'll visit a workshop. We will continue to Amasra, passing through Bartın, famous for its natural produce and Black Sea traditions.
Amasra is a picturesque peninsula with a natural harbour. It has a history of over 5,000 years and is celebrated for its beaches, historical castles, and fish restaurants.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will explore the Amasra Museum, Amasra Castle, and the lighthouse. We'll learn about local livelihoods, including fishing and the unique woodworking style called "Çekicilik," which produces various wooden items sold at Çekiciler Bazaar. Finally, we head to Safranbolu, about 90 km away, known for its historic mansions. After checking into our hotel, enjoy your dinner.

Amasra
After a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we will stroll through Safranbolu, known for its stunning Ottoman-style historical houses. The town is named after the rare saffron crocus grown locally and offers a rich history, culture, and beautiful scenery.
We will explore the charming cobblestone streets, visiting key sites such as the Safranbolu Mansions, Government Building, Clock Tower, Köprülü Mehmet Paşa Mosque, and the vibrant Arasta Bazaar with its local handicraft shops. Don’t miss the chance to sample Turkish delight at the Safranbolu Turkish Delight Factory.
After a lunch break at a local restaurant (not included), we will head to the glass viewing terrace in Tokatlı Canyon for breathtaking views and photo opportunities.
Finally, we will visit Yörük Village ( Momad Village), one of the oldest settlements in the area, where we can enjoy tea while exploring its historic streets and learning about the Bektashi Order.
Dinner and accommodation in Safranbolu. ( Breakfast – Dinner )
Safranbolu
After breakfast today, we will set off for Istanbul, covering approximately 450 km. Our journey will take us through the Karabük province, located 11 km from Safranbolu, known for its iron and steel production. Approximately 200 km later, we will arrive at Mudurnu.
Mudurnu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been declared an urban site. Its significant historical importance dates back to the Seljuk period. In 2014, the town featured several historic mosques, baths, fountains, and 173 buildings of high architectural value.
During our visit, we will explore the historic mansions, which showcase some of the most beautiful examples of Turkish civil architecture. In the bazaar, we will observe blacksmiths and stove heater vendors who continue the traditional handicrafts of the region. The legacy of the Ahi order remains prominent in the town, where the Yıldırım Beyazıt Mosque, built in 1374, and the Turkish Bath, constructed in 1382, has been in operation for nearly 700 years.
We will visit the Mudurnu Museum, explore the old bazaar, and see various historical buildings. Along the way, we will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local dishes and a cup of Turkish coffee before continuing our journey to Istanbul.
