Next, we will visit the Topkapı Palace, which served as the administrative centre of the Ottoman Empire for over 400 years, from the 15th to the 19th century. It was also the home of the Sultans and their families. The palace hosts a remarkable collection of famous jewels, daggers, swords, armour, crystals, silver items, Chinese porcelain, and elegant dresses used by sultans and their family members.

Lunch break in a local restaurant. Stroll around Hippodrome Square, where horse races, entertainment, sports, and political activities occurred during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Serpent Column was brought from Delphi in Greece, the Egyptian Obelisk, the German Fountain of Wilhelm ll, and the tombs of Ottoman sultans and princes.

                                      Abant Lake

Once we finish breakfast, we will embark on a 3-hour journey to Amasra, approximately 190 km away. We will pass through dense forests, canyons, valleys, and villages with magnificent views during our trip.
We will also visit a walking cane workshop in Devrek town, which is famous for its high-quality handmade walking canes, each with a unique model. After that, we arrive in Amasra through Bartın, renowned for its natural produce and Black Sea traditions.
Amasra is located on a natural harbour and a peninsula stretching to the sea. Amasra is a local tourism destination famous for its natural beauty, beaches, historical castles, and unique fish restaurants. Amasra has a rich history that dates back 5,000 years. Upon arrival, we will have a delicious lunch break at one of the local restaurants.
Visit the Amasra Museum, Amasra Castle, and the lighthouse, and learn about the livelihoods of the people and villages of Amasra, which are fishing, forestry, and woodworking. The style of woodworking used here is called "Çekicilik". The local people have been woodworking and creating ornamentations for hundreds of years using the woods from the linden, boxwood, ash, walnut, cherry, and alder grown in Amasra forests. They make picture frames, bowl sets, bird and animal figures, spice holders, salt shakers, trays, napkin holders, pencils, boxwood spoons, massage tools, and rare souvenirs sold at the historical Çekiciler Bazaar.
We arrive at Safranbolu, approximately 90 km away, best known for its historic mansions.
