After breakfast, we will start walking from the hotel to the magnificent Amyntas King Tombs. The entrance fee of the tomb is 2 EUR and it is optional.
From the road between the castle ruins, we will follow an ancient stone road that connects Fethiye (also known as Megri-Telmessos) to Kayaköy (also known as Levissi-Karmylassos).
This road was used to get on board the ships during the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in the years 1923-24. Kayaköy, which has such a tragic story, was even mentioned by the famous author Louis de Bernières in his book called "Birds Without Wings". Kayaköy was entirely evacuated with the migration of the village inhabitants to Greece and turned into a quiet ghost village remaining in its natural state. As you wander around in Kayaköy, it will be hard not to imagine and feel the sorrow of people who were removed from their homes.
Afterward, we will arrive at our hotel where we’ll be staying the night and given a swimming and lunch break.
