Mysteries of Eastern Anatolia - 13 Days/12 Nights

After a nice breakfast at the hotel, our Adana city tour will start. The main sights we will see in Adana are the Clock Tower built by Ziya Pasha, Kazancılar Bazaar, Adana Ulu Mosque, the Stone Bridge (Taş köprü) on the Seyhan River, and Sabancı Mosque, which has six minarets. We will see the treasures of Adana during the city tour. We have delicious Adana kebabs for lunch and then depart for a 3-hour drive to Antakya. We will visit the Antakya Archeology and Mosaic Museum.
Overnight in Antakya ( Breakfast – Dinner )

Antakya is a city of civilizations and harmony between people from many religions and cultures. We will visit Saint Pierre Church, the oldest church in the history of Christianity and named for St. Peter, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. Christianity was first named in this church. On our Antakya city tour, we will visit Habibi Neccar Mosque, one of the first mosques built in Anatolia, and after lunch at a local restaurant, where we will taste the delicious Antakya cuisine, we will move on to Gaziantep. Overnight in Gaziantep. ( Breakfast – Dinner )

After breakfast, the first stop of our Gaziantep tour will be the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, the second-largest mosaic museum in the world; then, while visiting Bakırcılar Bazaar, Almacı Bazaar, and Zincirli Bedesten, there will be free time for shopping and lunch. Don’t forget to sample and buy Gaziantep’s famous baklava and pistachios! Then we will go to Halfeti. (100 km, 1.5 hours) Halfeti district is also known as the hidden paradise of the Southeast for its historical stone houses, black roses, and natural beauty. We will visit Savasan Village, a large part of which is underwater and called a "sunken city", on a boat tour. We see the Sunken Mosque, the Greek Castle, and Halfeti Neck, take lots of photos and drink coffee by the reservoir, and then we go to Urfa (130 km, 1.5 hours). Visit Urfa archeology Museum and Haleplibahçe museum.

After breakfast in our hotel in Urfa, we will start our tour of Urfa, the city of the prophets, including Halil-ur Rahman Mosque and Rızvaniye Mosque, Balıklıgöl (fish lake), according to legend formed in the place where the Prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire, and Ayn-el Zeliha Lake. After shopping at Bedesten and Gümrük Inn, we will have lunch at a local restaurant featuring Urfa's famous kebab and other local dishes. We will also visit the Urfa Archeology Museum.
The next stop will be Göbeklitepe temple, the oldest open-air temple in the world, built 12,000 years ago and dating back to the Neolithic Age, which started a new era in the history of the world archeology and even changed human history. As a result of the information provided by our guide about the Gobeklitepe temple, your humanity history information can change.
During the tour, you will feel Göbeklitepe's positive energy in its mystical environment. Then, we go to Harran and visit Harran’s ancient city. Harran district, which has been continuously inhabited since the 6th millennium BC and was once the capital of the Assyrian and Umayyad civilizations, will welcome us with its conical domed houses and historical sights, Konik Harran Houses, Harran Mound, and El Firdevs Mosque, built by Umayyad Caliph Mervan (Cennet Mosque) will be among the places we will see after our Harran trip. After breakfast, we will leave early for Nemrut Mountain, where the tumulus of Antiochos of Commagene King and huge statues are located. This might be the part that will remain in your memories as the most special place on this tour. With the narration of our guide, we will admire the rich history. On the way to Mount Nemrut via Kahta, we will see the Karakuş Tumulus and  Roman Cendere Bridge and go to the summit by minibus (large buses and minibusses cannot travel this route). After a tiring climb, we will see the Zeus, Apollo, Heracles, I Antiochhos, Commagene, Eagle, and Lion sculptures on the eastern terrace of the Nemrut summit. We will see the tumulus of Antiochos of Commagene Kıng at the top and altars and sculptures on the western terrace. It is impossible not to be impressed by the magnificent view and the beauty of the colossal statues at the top of Mount Nemrut. Sunrise and sunset each have a different beauty. We will depart for Diyarbakır after the Nemrut Mountain tour and take a lunch break on the road. (170 km)
We will arrive in Diyarbakır city by crossing the Nissip Bridge on the Atatürk Dam from beautiful geography of about 3 hours. After the hotel check-in, we will see the Diyarbakır Walls, Keçi Tower, Urfa Gate, Mardin Gate, and Diyarbakır Ulu Mosque. We will complete our day by enjoying coffee on the 10-eyed bridge over the Tigris River and the historical ruins in the city wall.

After breakfast, we will travel from Diyarbakır to Batman. During a short city tour, don't be surprised to encounter a modern city in the East with wide streets and modern buildings. After a short trip, we will see the El Rızk Mosque, the Süleyman Pasha mosque minarets, and Zeynel Bey’s tomb, which are among the historical artifacts that have been moved to the new Hasankeyf.
In Midyat, you will find the best examples of filigree art and all kinds of handcrafted silver jewelry, which Syriac masters create with their centuries of experience while visiting the Syriac-Muslim common neighborhoods. After shopping, we will see the beautiful view from the terrace of Midyat Guest House.
We visit Mor Gabriel Monastery, 20 km past Midyat. After sightseeing in Nusaybin, we will take a tea break in the recreation area called White Water, famous for its ice-cold stream. We will arrive in Mardin after seeing the cave tombs, cave houses, huge water cistern, and ancient city ruins spread over a wide area in the ancient city of Dara, which has a history of 3500-4000 years and is said to be the Ephesus of the East.

We designed the tour program so well that we will experience Mardin like locals. After breakfast, we will visit Deyrul Zafaran Monastery, which was the center of the Patriarchate for more than 1,000 years, and we will see the 4,000-year-old Sun temple hospital, church, and baptistery. We will start our tour of Old Mardin with the Kasımiye Madrasah in Mardin, which has a rich cultural mosaic with architectural structures that give a mystical Muslim, Syriac, Turkish, and Arabian atmosphere to this city where religions and languages ​​meet and continue to the Ulu Mosque and minaret. Mosque Kebir, Şehidiye Madrasa, and the Post office are among the places we will see. During our free time in Mardin, don’t forget to buy extra luggage to take home local products, natural soaps (from Sabuncu Mehmet), nuts, almonds, and Mardin-specific almond candies, dried fruits, sweets, rosaries, and similar handmade accessories, and souvenirs. After breakfast, our journey from Mardin to Van will start (530 km, 7 hours). We will stop by the Bitlis city center, take a short city tour, and arrive in Tatvan city. After a lunch break, we will go to Ahlat, 45 km away. The largest Turkish-Islamic cemetery in the world, founded in 1200 by the Seljuks, has 8,169 tombstones. Some tombstones are 3.5 meters long. What makes the tombstones special is the inscriptions and decorations on them. After seeing the Grand Vault, Emir Bayindir Mosque, and the tombstones, we will arrive in Van after the trip to Yavaş and Ahlat.

We will start today's provincial tour at Van Castle, the former name of which is Tuspa Castle. The castle, which overlooks Van Lake, was built by the Urartu King Sarduri 2800 years ago. It became the capital of the Urartu Kingdom with the name Tuspa. Rock tombs are belonging to the Urartu Kings in the castle. After visiting the Van Archeology and Ethnography Museum, we will visit Akdamar Church, which was built with magnificent stonework and restored by the Turkish state, at watch boats from the pier in Edremit district on Akdamar Island in Lake Van. We will take great pictures of the wonderful lake and mountain scenery. Then we will return to the city center,  we can go to the Van cat house and see these beautiful cats up close.

After breakfast, we will visit Muradiye Waterfall, which is 90 km away. After taking beautiful pictures here, we will move on to Doğu Beyazıt. We will arrive in Doğu Beyazıt after crossing Tendürek mountain and its beautiful views. We will have a short lunch break and visit the famous İshak Pasha Palace. It is said that the construction of the 116-room palace took 99 years. After a tour of this magnificent palace overlooking Mount Ararat, we will arrive in Kars city via Iğdır. After entering the hotel, we will stroll through the streets of Kars and experience a new culture and climate. You can taste local foods such as goose meat, honey, Kars cheese, Kars gruyere cheese, yellowfish, Hengel, and kit, which are unique to Kars, and you can buy them to take home. You can see Russian architecture in Kars and experience the climate, geography, and culture, which is the basis of this fusion.

We will continue our tour by visiting the Ani Ruins. We will go to Sarıkamış, and after seeing historical artifacts such as Manuçehr Mosque, Ani Cathedral, Virgins Monastery, and Apostles Church in the ruins of Ani, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Then, we will arrive in Erzurum and take a lunch break featuring Çağ Kebab and stuffed Kadayıf, which are local flavors of Erzurum. Later, after the trip to Nene Hatun Bastion, Double Minaret Madrasa, Ulu Mosque, Üç Kumbetler, Yakutiye Madrasa, Erzurum Congress, and the National Struggle Museum.

Regular Group Tours are English-guided package tours with mixed nationalities of a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 40 people on the specified dates. Regular Group tour prices are fixed.
There is a child age restriction based on the character of the tour and generally, children under 8 years of age cannot participate.
