Islamic Turkiye Tour Travel 10 Days

A 10-day Islamic holy places tour in Turkey begins in Istanbul. Upon your arrival at Istanbul Airport. Private transfer to your hotel.  Istanbul is a starting point for Islamic tours in Turkey and attracts tourists from various countries.
Accommodation in Istanbul

After a delightful breakfast, we will meet our guide at 08:30. Our first stop is Sultanahmet Square, formerly Hippodrome Square, where ancient horse and chariot races once captivated thousands. You’ll see the impressive Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpent Column.
Next, we will visit the stunning Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque). Admire its remarkable architecture, beautiful blue tiles, and intricate calligraphy that enhances its grandeur.  After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we will explore Topkapı Palace, the opulent former residence of the Ottoman sultans, filled with magnificent architecture and valuable artefacts.
Visit the Hagia Sophia Mosque, originally a cathedral, now an architectural marvel known for its grand dome and beautiful mosaics.
Finally, we will head to the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets. Explore the vibrant shops filled with spices, textiles, handcrafted jewellery, and souvenirs in this lively atmosphere!
Arrival in Bursa after a 2-hour drive from Istanbul tour.
Accommodation in Bursa  (Breakfast – Lunch )

Bursa was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. It is a modern city with its developed agriculture and industry.  We will visit the Great Mosque, Green Mosque, Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi tombs, Muradiye Complex with Şehzade Mustafa Tomb, Koza han, and silk bazaar.  Lunch break at a local restaurant. Then, a visit to Cumalıkızık village, one of the oldest settlements of the Ottomans in Bursa. And departure to Eskisehir.
Eskişehir Province is a vibrant and modern city with distinctly European charm. Upon our arrival, our first stop will be the Kurşunlu Mosque and Complex, an architectural gem built by Çoban Mustafa Pasha in 1525 during the illustrious reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. Following our exploration of the Kursunlu mosque, we will wander through the picturesque streets of the Odunpazarı district, known for its lovingly preserved historical wooden houses. This UNESCO World Heritage Site captivates visitors with its vibrant colours and unique architectural style. In Eskişehir, we can get to know the local people closely by chatting with them while walking around the local museums and Odunpazarı.

After breakfast, drive and Arrive in Konya from Eskisehir, enjoying the fantastic view of the Anatolian steppes.
We have lunch in a local restaurant in Konya.
Visit the Mevlana Museum, which houses the tomb of the great 13th-century Persian poet and founder of the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi, Popularly known as Rumi in Western countries, meaning “Roman” in Arabic, his followers and Muslims like to call him “Mevlana”, meaning “our master We will visit all available sections in the museum such as Matbah (Kitchen), tombs, Tilavet Chamber (Quran Reading And Chanting Chamber) and Semâ-Hâne (Ritual Hall). We will continue our tour with a visit to Selimiye Mosque, located next door to Mevlana Museum.
Visit Alaatin Mosque and Karatay Madrasah, which showcase stunning tile work and intricate architecture. The ancient mosques exude an aura of tranquillity and devotion.  
We will watch a Whirling Dervish show in Konya. This fascinating show is more than just a show; it is a journey into the heart of Islamic mysticism and a reminder of the universal quest for divine love.

Turkish Night:  Upon your request, your guide will make reservations in the evening for an amazing Turkish Night in a great music hall in a cave with traditional dance shows.
Whirling Dervishes Show 

After a pleasant journey on the historical Silk Road route in the Anatolian steppes, we visit Sultanhanı Caravanserai, built by the Seljuks in 1229 to accommodate Silk Road Caravans. Afterwards, arrive to visit  Ihlara and Güzelyurt Villages.  We have Lunch in a restaurant near the Melendiz River.  
Kaymaklı Underground City is believed to be the oldest underground city in Cappadocia. It is estimated that people have been living inside houses built on the rocks since the Paleolithic Period. However, we know they were mainly used to protect against Roman, Persian, and Arab attacks and as storehouses. You will be amazed to see how people lived in these underground cities with endless narrow tunnels and stairs.
We visit Goreme Village and see the three beautiful fairy chimneys, one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Cappadocia landscape.

Hot Air Balloon Tour  04:30 – 09:00 ( Optional and reservation a few days before with your guide)
Return from the Balloon tour, take breakfast, and start the Cappadocia day tour.
Cappadocia is one of the most extraordinary places in the world with its fantastic fairy chimneys.
Visit the Uçhisar Castle, which consists of volcanic rocks and is the highest point of Cappadocia. We will see fairy chimneys, valleys, and a fantastic regional view from here. Next, we see the Pigeon Valley.
The sightseeing tour of Göreme Village features fascinating cave houses and an authentic atmosphere. Visit Pasabagi Valley (Monks Valley) and Devrent Valley, famous for their rock formations resembling different animal figures. Most formations, such as giant camels, seals, and dolphins, have distinctive shapes.
We have a lunch break in Avanos. Then, visit a pottery workshop atelier to see how potteries are made by hand. 
Then, we’ll visit the Goreme Open Air Museum.
Lunch Break in a local restaurant and visit the famous Avanos Pottery ceramic atelier.
Goreme Open Air Museum is home to fantastic monasteries and chapels like the Dark Church ( Extra), Apple Church, Snake Church, and Saint Barbara Church. You will see the sceneries and figures from the Old and New Testament on well-preserved frescos from the iconoclastic period.
Overnight stay in Cappadocia. (Breakfast – Lunch - Dinner )

After breakfast, we will depart early by vehicle from Istanbul to Ankara. Upon arriving in Ankara, we will visit Anıtkabir, the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
We will have a lunch break in a local restaurant. Then,
visit the Aslanhane Mosque, built in 1289, a historical site worth seeing. Also, enjoy a panoramic view of Ankara from the ancient Ankara Castle. Anatolian Civilizations Museum offers many ancient artefacts that showcase the ancient history of Anatolia.  Afterwards, visit the Temple of Augustus and the Hacı Bayram Mosque.
Hacı Bayram Mosque is a historic site that reflects the early Ottoman architectural style. You'll also learn about the city’s cultural and religious hub role in modern Turkey.
We’ll then head to the Hamamönü district, known for its well-preserved historical mansions. Finally, we will conclude the day with a sightseeing tour of the modern neighbourhoods, including Çankaya, Kavaklıdere, and the Kızılay district.
Overnight in Ankara. (Breakfast - Dinner)

After breakfast, departure from Ankara to Istanbul. Sightseeing in Bolu Province and Visit Yıldırım Beyazit Mosque We will visit the 4th Ottoman Sultan Yıldırım Beyazit Mosque, built by Yıldırım Beyazit in 1382. 
Lunch break in Bolu and drive to Istanbul.  On arrival in Istanbul, we will visit Çamlıca Hill and the six-minaret Çamlıca Mosque. This location is a fantastic vantage point, allowing us to view the city from the highest point.
Overnight in Istanbul. (Breakfast - Dinner)

The tour starts at 08:45 and visits the Spice Bazaar, one of Istanbul's oldest covered bazaars. This vibrant market is filled with the enticing scents of spices and coffee and offers a variety of goods, such as Turkish delight, souvenirs, and handmade soaps.
Visit Rustem Pasha Mosque near the Egypt Bazaar.
The Bosphorus cruise is an excellent way to experience the beauty of Istanbul as the strait separates Europe and Asia.
Dolmabahce Palace (Entrance fee extra): Following the cruise, we will tour Dolmabahçe Palace, built by Abdulmecid I between 1843 and 1856. It is famous for its stunning architecture and magnificent crystal chandelier.
We will also visit the Süleymaniye Mosque, designed by Mimar Sinan, between 1551 and 1558. It exemplifies classical Ottoman architecture. 
We will have a lunch break in a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will visit the Eyup Sultan Mosque, a highly sacred place of worship for Muslims. 
Eyüp Sultan Mosque is a sacred site for Muslims. It was built over the tomb of Abu Eyüp al-Ansari, a close companion of the Prophet Muhammad. We will explore this mosque, which suffered damage during the first Arab siege of Istanbul.
Afterwards, stroll and shop at Istiklal Street and Taksim Square.

You have a free day to shop until your flight time. The shopping centres with the most famous fashion brands worldwide include Akmerkez, Istinye Park, Zorlu, Kanyon, and Cevahir Mall.

Tips for the guide and driver

Tip policy for the group
The minimum tip fee recommended for tour guides, drivers, waiters, and hotel staff on the tour is 7 Euros per person daily. It is paid in cash to the Travel Agency officer and distributed to the tour operators upon arrival in Turkey.   

Cancellation Policy
- For cancellations made 60 days before the tour, 100% refund. (Except per person 175 € for register, bank commission, and domestic flight ticket cost)
- For cancellations made 59 - 45 days before the tour, 50% refund. (Except for the Bank Commission)
- For cancellations made 44 - 21 days before the tour, 20 % refund.
- No refunds will be made on reservations made 20 days before the tour. %100 Penalty is applied. 

Remarks
- Please note that travel health insurance is mandatory.
- Sample hotels are confirmed on the booking date if they are available. Otherwise, similar hotels are booked.
- The guide may change the tour program due to bad weather, traffic jams, or similar situations.
- If any location in the itinerary is closed, we will arrange to visit other places.
- On day tours, you will walk approximately 2 – 3 km daily on uneven and cobblestone surfaces, inclines, and steps.
- During summer, you should wear comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. To stay cosy in winter, please bring a raincoat, warm clothes, winter walking shoes, an umbrella, etc.
- When visiting religious places like churches, mosques, and cathedrals, it is recommended that you wear plain clothing, including closed and long skirts.
- The order of the sites visited may change to avoid crowds.
- Please carry your passport with you on all domestic flights. Domestic flights are economy class, and the baggage limit is 15 Kg.
- If Alsero Tours changes the itinerary or hotels, Alsero Tours will cover any incidental expenses.
