Following the paths opened by the first monks, we will find churches built on high rocks in Meteora with magnificent views.

Many monasteries were built on the top of hills around 200-300 meters in the 11th century. The reason why they chose such a high location is related to safety concerns. There are no stairways to the top, but they implemented a wooden lift system and thick tethers to transport people and goods to the top. We will conclude this wonderful excursion by visiting Holy Telis (Agia Triada) and Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas Monasteries and exploring any available monasteries in this breathtaking geography.

This ensures that no time is lost during flight transfers at the Istanbul airport. However, please be aware that direct flights between Cappadocia and Ephesus and Cappadocia and Antalya are only available on specific days of the week from May to October. Daily direct flights are not available. You may need to adjust your start dates by 1-2 days to accommodate these direct flight schedules.
