Adana, Tarsus, Hatay Tour 3 Days - 2 nights

Arrive at Çukurova Adana Airport with an early morning flight. Meet with your guide, then go to Tarsus.
Tarsus has a storied and rich history and is a significant city in religious terms. One of the 12 apostles of Jesus, Paul, was born in Tarsus. According to Acts, Paul was born as “Saul of Tarsus,” raised in Jerusalem, and became “Paul the Apostle” after his encounter with Christ.
Visit St. Paul’s Well and Saint Paul's Church, which are considered Christian pilgrimage sites, Tarsus Grand Mosque, Kırkkasik Bedesten, the Historic Tarsus Houses, the Roman Road, the Cilician Triumphal Arch, and the Gate of Cleopatra.
We have a lunch break in a local restaurant with delicious Turkish cuisine. Continue towards Adana
Visit the Stone Bridge, Old Clock Tower, the Small Clock, Sabancı Mosque, and Kazancılar Bazaar.
Accommodation in Adana.  ( Breakfast – Dinner )

After breakfast, arrive in Hatay after a 3-hour, 210 km journey.
Hatay is a fascinating city with a rich historical past dating back to the 4th millennium BC. It has collected a wealth of religious, cultural, and historical documents from different periods and civilisations. Visit the Hatay Archaeology Museum, home to the second-largest classical and Roman mosaic collection in the world.  The museum displays ancient artefacts, sarcophagi, statues and magnificent mosaics from the Hittite, Hatti, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods.

We had lunch at a local restaurant (Extra) and enjoyed delicious dishes from Antakya cuisine, including the local dessert Künefe from Taste Hatay. Afterwards, we visit the St. Pierre Church.

St. Pierre Church is a natural cave converted into a church with some additions. This is where St. Peter, one of the twelve apostles of the Prophet Jesus, first preached. In this cave, the congregation took the name 'Christian' for the first time; hence, St. Pierre Church is known as the first church of Christianity. It is a vital pilgrimage destination for Christians, and the Feast of St. Peter occurs on 29 June each year.
It is worth noting that after the earthquake on 6th February 2023, Hatay City was destroyed, including the Habib-i Neccar Mosque and several churches.
Accommodation in Hatay. (Breakfast – Dinner)

After breakfast, we will depart for Samandağ, known as the place where Moses and Khidr met. We will visit the Armenian village of Vakıflı, the Surp Asdvadzadzin Church, the Beşik Cave Rock Tombs, and the Titus Tunnel.
The Titus Tunnel is on UNESCO's Tentative World Heritage List. The Roman Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasian commissioned it in the 1st century BC to protect the city of Nivator from floods. The tunnel, carved into the rock, is 1,380 meters long, 7 meters high, and 6 meters wide.
The St. Simeon Monastery is an early Christian pilgrimage site. This magnificent monastery was built 1,400 years ago in honour of St. Simeon, who lived in seclusion for 45 years. At the end of the tour, we will transfer to Hatay Airport or Adana Çukurova Airport. (Breakfast)

Individual Domestic Flight ticket information
We endeavour to provide our esteemed guests with the highest level of comfort during intercity travel by offering direct flights whenever possible. This arrangement ensures that no time is wasted during flight transfers at Istanbul Airport. Nevertheless, it is essential to note that direct flights between Cappadocia and Ephesus, as well as between Cappadocia and Antalya, are only available on select days of the week from May to October. Daily direct flights are not on offer. Guests may need to adjust their travel dates by one to two days to align with these direct flight schedules. It may be necessary to incorporate a connecting flight to Istanbul to complete the tour if this adjustment proves unfeasible. Any requisite modifications to the tour itinerary can be addressed by submitting the passengers' information.

Flight ticket group reservation policy
Please note that flight ticket prices included in tour packages apply only to individual passengers. If you are travelling in a group, it is recommended that you purchase your tickets well in advance to avoid any significant price increases. For domestic flights, such as those from Istanbul to Cappadocia, booking your group tickets at least 5-6 months in advance is recommended. Failure to do so may result in limited availability and higher prices. Once your group reservation is confirmed, you must pay 30% of the ticket price within two days to secure your booking. Adana, Tarsus, Hatay Biblical Tour 3 days

The 3-day Hatay, Adana, Tarsus tour begins St Paul's journey from Antioch to Greece and Rome via Asia Minor to teach people about Christianity. Saint Pierre Church is one of the First Catholic churches in the early years of Christianity. For the first time, the community of this new religion was called Christian. It was commemorated at St. Pierre Church, and the name "Christianity" was mentioned there.

Discover the historical and natural beauty of Adana, Tarsus, and Hatay on our 3-day religious tour.

Hatay played an essential role in the spread of Christianity to Europe and the world. It has allowed people from different sects and cultures, including Muslims, Jews, and Christians, to live in peace and tranquillity for many years. For this reason, Hatay is known as the cradle of civilisations and religions.
Note: Many historical buildings were destroyed or damaged in the great earthquake on February 6th 2023, but they are being rebuilt or repaired to their original form. For this reason, visiting some historical monuments in the Hatay region may not be possible.
