Princes’ Islands Tour Istanbul - 8 Hr

ITINERARY

Our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel at 08:00 after breakfast and drop you off at your hotel at the end of the tour.
Spend time at your leisure on the Buyukada largest of the Princes Islands. You shall admire the island’s Ottoman-era wooden mansions. Enjoy lunch at a local seafood restaurant with delicious meals.

From the boat you can look back on the sights of Istanbul, seeing iconic landmarks such as Topkapi Palace, Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the pretty  Maiden’s Tower ( Kız Kulesi )
The Princes’ Islands are an archipelago in the Sea of Marmara, located close to Istanbul. They were a place of exile during the Byzantine period and the favorite entertainment and resting place of the princes during the Ottoman Empire. Since there is no car traffic on the islands, you can walk on the streets peacefully among the beautiful wooden mansions and colorful gardens, or rent a bike or electric vehicle. In Büyükada, among the bright blue color of the Marmara Sea and lush pines of the island, you’ll see the traces of Greek and Turkish architecture, on the Pier area you’ll immediately realize the Ottoman Neo-Classical styles in the cafes and restaurants, as well as the Clock Tower. You will enjoy the peaceful lifestyle, the quiet and calmness of the islands, its clean streets, and its unspoiled nature. Home to the historical Hagia Yorgi Church, Büyükada is also a favorite for weekend escapades due to its clean beaches.

We will have lunch at a local fish restaurant by the sea. Then, board a ferry to Kınalıada, a smaller more residential Prince island to enjoy the day in a quieter and calmer atmosphere. After touring the island, we will return to Istanbul in the evening and drop you off at your hotel.

Notes ;
*We would recommend you visit the islands on weekdays, as they get very crowded on the weekends, especially during the summer months.
*Princes’ Islands itinerary is subject to change depending on weather conditions and daytime crowds.
