ITINERARY

Transfer from Cruise ship

Our guide and driver will pick you up from the Istanbul Galataport or your hotel at the given time and will drop you off at the end of the tour. In this tour, you will discover the unique works of art and buildings from the Byzantine and Ottoman periods with an experienced and licensed tour guide.

Hippodrome Square

This is where horse races took place and entertainment, sports, and political activities were organized during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Here, we will see the Serpent Column brought from Delphi in Greece, the Egyptian Obelisk, the German Fountain of Wilhelm ll, and the tombs of Ottoman sultans and princes.

Saint Sophia

Hagia Sophia, meaning the church of “holy wisdom”, was built by the emperor Justinian in 532 - 537. Designed and built as a church, Hagia Sophia was later converted into a mosque in the Ottoman period and become a museum afterward. It is accepted as one of the world’s greatest architectural works and a common heritage of mankind.

Blue Mosque

Blue Mosque also known as Sultanahmet Mosque, this great structure is the greatest Ottoman mosque in Istanbul, built between the years 1609-1617 by Sedefkar Mehmet Effendi the Architect and commissioned by the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed I. Best known for its 6 minarets and blue Iznik tiles that lend the mosque its name, today it is one of the main icons of Istanbul skyline.

Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar is the oldest and largest covered bazaar in the world, Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı) is made up of 61 covered streets and is home to more than 4000 shops selling anything you can think of from carpets, jewelry, leather, and souvenirs to garments, bags, decorations, spices, and home textiles in an exotic and unique atmosphere, always bustling with locals and tourists.

Topkapı Palace

Topkapi Palace has served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire for over 400 years, from the 15th to the 19th centuries, and as the home of the Sultans and their families, Topkapı Palace is a great complex surrounded by huge walls. It hosts an outstanding collection of famous jewels of the Ottoman Imperial Treasury, daggers decorated with precious diamonds and stones, swords, war armors, the Spoonmaker's Diamond, crystals, silver items, Chinese porcelain, elegant dresses once used by sultans and their families members and the sacred relics such as Prophet Muhammad's cloak known as Hırka-i Sherif.

Royal Tombs

The tombs belonging to Ottoman sultans in the cemetery section of Hagia Sophia are covered with ceramic panels embroidered with green, blue, and red flower motifs. Dresses belonging to the sultans and pieces of Kaaba covers are also exhibited in this section.

Closing Days
Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. In this case, will visit Islamic Art Museum
The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Mosque close 11.00 -  14:00 for visit on Friday due to Friday prayers.
Blue Mosque will be visited from outside on Fridays.

Description:

Our guide and driver will pick you up from the port or your hotel at the indicated time and will drop you off at the end of the tour. On this tour, you will discover the unique artworks and buildings from the Byzantine and Ottoman periods with an experienced and licensed tour guide.

Cruise transfer from Istanbul Galataport to Sultanahmet Square (Hippodrome) square will be a private vehicle. 
You will also be transferred from your hotel to Hippodrome square in two directions.

Cancellation Policy
- For cancellations made 7 days before the tour, 100% refund. (Except for the Bank Commission)
- For cancellations made 6 - 3 days before the tour, 50% refund. (Except for Bank Commission)
- For cancellations made 2 days before the tour date, a 100% penalty is applied. 
- No refunds will be made on reservations made 2 days before the tour.

Regular Group Tours are English-guided package tours with mixed nationalities of a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 40 people on the specified dates. Regular Group tour prices are fixed.
There is a child age restriction based on the character of the tour and generally, children under 8 years of age cannot participate.
Private Tours, on the other hand, is between 1 person and 40 people. It usually consists of small and private groups such as Families, groups of friends, or professional groups. No other travelers are allowed in Private groups. In private tours, the guide is given according to the group's request (available in Turkey) 
Guaranty Departure Tours have a definite departure regardless of the number of people on certain dates. 
The minimum and the maximum number of people and child age requirements are specified in the tour information.

The number of tour places varies according to the theme of the tour. Group tours are a minimum of 20 people - a maximum of 40 people. There is no limit on the number of private tours, usually between 1 and 18 people.

You can bring clothes and auxiliary items according to Turkey Tour regions and Tour season. During the winter seasons, you should bring thick and cold protective clothing and rain protective clothing.

Your registration is done and your official confirmation is sent to you. Then you make some payment.

Tour payments are made by money transfer systems such as bank transfer or Western Union.

Visitors can withdraw money in Turkish Lira, Euro, and US Dollars with their bank cards from ATMs in Turkey. Most ATMs offer English or other language options for foreigners' convenience.

Visitors can use their credit and debit cards for all kinds of shopping. During the tour, you can travel to smaller towns or villages far from the city center, where your credit card may not be valid, so it is recommended to always have cash, foreign currency, and Turkish Lira with you.

Foreigners in Turkey can drive in Turkey, provided that they always have their passports, international driving licenses, and their car licenses with them. It is legally forbidden to drink and drive and there are penalties. In Turkey, the vehicle is driven on the right side of the road.
