Hagia Sophia has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Hagia Sophia Cathedral, the magnificent Church of the Holy Wisdom, was built in 537 AD as an Eastern Orthodox cathedral by the Emperor Justinian of the Byzantine Empire.
Hippodrome Square was the centre of chariot races and political and sporting events during the Byzantine period. Today, we see the remnants of its glorious past, such as the Serpent Column, the Theodosius Obelisk, the German Fountain, and the Sultan Ahmet Tomb.
The Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque) features six minarets, a magnificent dome, exceptional acoustics, and stunning Iznik blue tiles adorning its interior. This famous architectural masterpiece is one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture.
The Grand Bazaar is one of the world's oldest and largest covered bazaars. It has 60 streets and over 4,000 shops.
Overnight Istanbul (Breakfast)
Early departure from Istanbul to Ankara by vehicle (approx. 5 hrs). Ankara is the capital of Turkey. Visit Anıtkabir, the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
Lunch break at a restaurant, then continue to Cappadocia.
Our next destination will be the 13th-century Seljuk-era Sultanhani Caravanserai in Aksaray. Sultanhanı Caravanserai, built by the Seljuks in 1229 to accommodate the caravans travelling on the Silk Road

Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to a large monastery complex with dozens of monasteries, each with its own church, offering some of the best examples of Byzantine art. Pasabagi Valley (Monks Valley) has the most beautiful fairy Chimneys. And the Devrent Valley are famous for its rock formations that resemble various animal figures.
Take a Lunch Break in a local restaurant in Avanos. Then visit a pottery workshop to see pottery made by hand.
Kaymakli Underground City is one of Cappadocia’s most fascinating subterranean cities. Explore its tunnels, living quarters, storage rooms, and ventilation systems, which early Christians used for shelter. These underground cities in Cappadocia were used as defences against attacks from the Romans, Persians, and Arabs, as storehouses and for living.
Visit a pottery workshop in Avanos, famous for its production of pottery and ceramics from red clay since the Hittite period, and experience the ceramic artistry of master potters at work on the potter's wheel.
Overnight in Cappadocia ( Breakfast – Dinner )
After breakfast, we’ll depart early for Pamukkale (approx. 630 km). On the way, we’ll stop in Konya and visit the Mevlana Museum, which houses the tomb of the great 13th-century Persian poet and founder of the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi, popularly known as Rumi in Western countries.
We’ll have lunch break in a local restaurant and continue to Pamukkale. After an enjoyable journey admiring the charming villages and towns along the Silk Road route in the Anatolian steppes, arrive at Pamukkale.

Pamukkale is UNESCO World Heritage-listed. Takes its name from the white travertine terraces. This natural formation formed as calcium carbonate hardened in hot springs over time. With their dazzling whiteness and stepped structure, travertines resemble a cotton pile. You can walk on the allowed travertine and swim in the Cleopatra pool ( Extra payment)
Hierapolis is an ancient Greco-Roman city. Founded by the Kingdom of Pergamon in the 2nd century BC, it has become famous as a health centre, particularly for its thermal waters. The main structures in Hierapolis are the Antique Theatre, Necropolis (Cemetery), Cleopatra Pool, Frontinus Gate, and Frontinus Street. Visit the Pamukkale Archaeological Museum and the Martyrium of the Apostle Philip, who was martyred during the persecutions ordered by Domitian. We have a Lunch break at a Restaurant and then depart for Kusadasi, 200 km away.
Overnight stay in Kuşadası or Izmir (Breakfast - Dinner)
Today, we will visit the ancient Ephesus. It is 20 km away from Kusadasi, the most well-known, best-preserved, and essential pilgrimage centre for Christians in the ancient world.
The Virgin Mary House. Virgin Mary, who came to Ephesus with St. Paul, spent the last years of her life in this stone house at the top of Bülbül Mountain, 5 km from Ephesus.
Ephesus is a World Heritage-listed and best-preserved Ancient Roman city. Before it was founded in Selçuk, there was a settlement on the Selçuk Ayasuluk hill. We’ll see Harbour Street, Marble Street, the Grand Theatre with a capacity of 25,000, the famous Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Ephesus Prytaneion, the State Agora, and the Odeon. Visit the Ephesus Experience Museum.
Lunch Break in a local restaurant. Visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
We end our day, taking a short break for souvenir shopping and watching the Leader fashion show at the Leather Clothing Factory Outlet Centre. At the end of the tour, we set out for Izmir. 90 Km.

After breakfast, we’ll leave early for Istanbul. On the way, we will visit Bursa, the Ottoman Empire's first capital. Here, we’ll see the Great Mosque, the Green Mosque, the Tombs of Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi, the Tomb of Prince Mustafa, son of Suleiman the Magnificent, the Hanlar District, the Grand Bazaar, and the Koza Han Silk Market.
We’ll have lunch at a local restaurant where you can sample the traditional Iskender Kebab, a speciality of Bursa.
