Istanbul and Cappadocia Tour - 5 Days/4 Nights

The Istanbul and Cappadocia 5-day combo tour starts when you arrive at the Istanbul Airport. Transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you will have free time to discover Istanbul by yourself.  
Overnight stay in Istanbul.

 Istanbul Byzantine & Ottoman Relics Group Tour 08:30 – 17:00    
After breakfast, you will meet your tour guide and start discovering the Byzantine and Ottoman treasures of Istanbul with the group.  First, we will visit St. Sofia (Hagia Sophia), built by the emperor Justinian in the 6th century AD as a church and later converted into a mosque after the fall of Constantinople in 1453. We will stroll the historical Hippodrome Square, which was used as a meeting place for chariot races during the Byzantine period. Here, we will see the Serpent Column from Delphi and the Egyptian Obelisk. Next, we will visit the Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultanahmet Mosque, with its blue Iznik tiles and unique six minarets.
Lunch break in a local restaurant.
Visit the Topkapı Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans, to see its fabulous treasure chambers. We’ll continue with the Grand Bazaar,  the world's most prominent “souk. " It has more than 4,000 shops and 60 streets.

After breakfast, check out from the Hotel at 08:30 and head for the Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, which is a very colourful market with an oriental atmosphere that specialises in typical products such as spices, desserts, nuts, and small souvenirs.
Bosphorus boat tour: Next, we’ll drive to Golden Horn for a cruise along the Bosporus Strait, which separates Europe and Asia and connects the Black Sea with the inland Marmara Sea. From the boat, we will see the Rumeli Forest, Maiden Tower, Topkapi Palace, CirtaganPalace, Bosphorus Bridge, and beautiful Wooden Mansions.
At the end of the cruise, transfer to the Istanbul Airport Flight to Cappadocia. And Transfer to the Cappadocia Hotel.

Cappadocia is one of the most extraordinary places in the world with its fantastic fairy chimneys. It is also famous for its arts and crafts, such as ceramics and hand-woven carpets.
Visit the Uçhisar Castle, which consists of volcanic rocks and is the highest point of Cappadocia. From here, we will watch the fairy chimneys, valleys, and the fantastic view of the region. Next, we will visit the Pigeon Valley.

The sightseeing tour of Göreme Village has fascinating cave houses and an authentic atmosphere. Visit Pasabagi Valley (Monks Valley) and Devrent Valley, famous for its rock formations resembling different animal figures. Most formations, such as giant camels, seals, and dolphins, have distinctive shapes. Visit the “Goreme Open Air Museum.

We have a lunch break in Avanos. Then, visit a pottery workshop atelier to see how potteries are made by hand.  Then, we’ll visit the Kaymaklı Underground City, which is believed to be the oldest underground city of Cappadocia. It is estimated that people have been living inside the houses built on the rocks here since the Paleolithic Period. However, we know that they were mainly used for protection against Roman, Persian, and Arab attacks throughout history. They were also used as storehouses. You will be amazed to see how people lived in these underground cities with endless narrow tunnels and stairs.
Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (Breakfast – Lunch )

Private Transfer to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport. Take a flight to Istanbul from Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport for the Istanbul connecting flight back to your country.  ( Breakfast )

Remarks

- Please note that it is mandatory to have travel health insurance.
- Our team confirms the selected hotels' availability on the booking date. However, we will book similar hotels for your stay if unavailable.

- If any location in the itinerary is closed, we will arrange to visit other places.
During the tours, you will walk approximately 2 km daily on uneven and cobblestone surfaces, inclines, and steps.
- You should wear comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen during summer. Please bring a raincoat, warm clothes, winter walking shoes, an umbrella, etc. to stay comfortable in winter.
- When visiting religious places like churches, mosques, and cathedrals, it is recommended to wear plain clothing, including closed and long skirts
- The order of the sites visited may change to avoid crowds.
- Please ensure to carry your passport for all domestic flights. Domestic flights are economy class, and the luggage limit is 15 Kg.

Domestic Flight Ticket information

 

Domestic Flight ticket prices for individual or group passengers may differ.
It is recommended to buy flight tickets early so that the price increase is not too much.
For this reason, group flight tickets should be purchased at least early in advance for domestic flights to Istanbul Cappadocia. Otherwise, there will not be enough plane tickets, and prices will be expensive. Paying 30% of the group flight price within 3 days after the reservation confirmation is obligatory. Otherwise, the airline company will cancel the group request.

 

Cancellation Policy    
- For cancellations made 45 days before the tour, 100% refund. (Except per person 175 € for register, bank commission, and domestic flight ticket cost)
- For cancellations made 44 - 30 days before the tour, 50% refund. (Except for the Bank Commission)
- For cancellations made 29 - 15 days before the tour, 20 % refund.
- No refunds will be made on reservations made 14 days before the tour. %100 Penalty is applied.

Regular Group Tours are English-guided package tours with mixed nationalities of a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 40 people on the specified dates. Regular Group tour prices are fixed.
There is a child age restriction based on the character of the tour and generally, children under 8 years of age cannot participate.
Private Tours, on the other hand, is between 1 person and 40 people. It usually consists of small and private groups such as Families, groups of friends, or professional groups. No other travelers are allowed in Private groups. In private tours, the guide is given according to the group's request (available in Turkey) 
Guaranty Departure Tours have a definite departure regardless of the number of people on certain dates. 
The minimum and the maximum number of people and child age requirements are specified in the tour information.

The number of tour places varies according to the theme of the tour. Group tours are a minimum of 20 people - a maximum of 40 people. There is no limit on the number of private tours, usually between 1 and 18 people.

You can bring clothes and auxiliary items according to Turkey Tour regions and Tour season. During the winter seasons, you should bring thick and cold protective clothing and rain protective clothing.
