Eastern Anatolia Tour - 10 Days

The Urartians are a state founded around Lake Van in Anatolia at the beginning of the first century BC. Its capital is TUSPA. ( VAN) The Urartians, which had a culture that had the influence of Mesopotamian and Assyrian art, was a state that used cuneiform and Hittite hieroglyphics.
Visit Tuspa Castle, BC. It was built by the Urartian King Sarduri in the 9th century. Husrev Pasha Mosque was built in 1570. Visit Van Museum, the Van Museum displays Urartian jewelry, inscriptions, and many historical artifacts. Afterward, visit Van Cat’s house.
Visit Akdamar Church in the Van Lake.  Overnight in Van  (Breakfast – Dinner ) 

Today visit Tatvan and Ahlat, the largest Turkish-Islamic cemetery in the world, founded in 1200 by the Seljuks, has 8,169 tombstones. Some tombstones are 3.5 meters long. What makes the tombstones special is the inscriptions and decorations on them. After seeing the Grand Vault, Emir Bayindir Mosque, and the tombstones, we will arrive in Van after the trip to Gevaş and Ahlat.

Drive to Muradiye and visit Muradiye Waterfall. Continue ahead to Dogubeyazit Visit Ishak Pasha Palace.  It is said that the construction of the 116-room palace took 99 years. After a tour of this magnificent palace overlooking Mount Ararat, AĞRI METEOR PIT is the second largest meteor pit in the world, which was formed by a meteor impact in 1892.
Visit NOAH'S SHIP  Noah's ark has been sought in the Ararat region for hundreds of years. The structure, which is located in Doğubeyazıt and resembles the silhouette of the Ark, is defined as Noah's Ark by some people and researchers.  BAYAZIT MOSQUE and URARTU CASTLE are the most important places to see in Doğubeyazıt.

After breakfast drive to Kars,  first arrival, and Visit Ani Ruins.  Ani Ruins, which is the most important touristic area of Kars City and located on the historical Silk Road, was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1996. As a settled city, we can say that its name appeared for the first time around the 9th century. Between 961 and 1045, Bagratuni was used as the capital during the Armenian Dynasty.
There are 21 structures in the ancient city such as mosques, churches, baths, palaces, caravanserais, and bridges. The best-preserved structure in the ruins is the Great Cathedral. The architect of the building was Tiridat Usta, who repaired the Istanbul Hagia Sophia Church.

After breakfast visit Kars Castle, 12 apostles church ( Kumbet Mosque), Fethiye Mosque ( Alexandre Nevski Church), and Lunch in a local restaurant. Drive to Erzurum Stop in Sarıkamis and visit Katerina Mansion.  Arrive at Erzurum after a beautiful journey with the changing landscape of Anatolian geography visit Double Minaret Madrasa, Ulu Mosque. Overnight in Erzurum.  (Breakfast –  Dinner ) 

 Later, after the trip to Nene Hatun Bastion, Three Kumbetler, Yakutiye Madrasa, Erzurum Congress, and the National Struggle Museum.  take a lunch break featuring Cag Kebab and stuffed Kadayıf, which are local flavors of Erzurum. Drive to Trabzon  We will visit Karaca Cave, one of the two caves in Gümüşhane, which was formed 15 million years and was discovered in 1983, containing the richest stalactites and stalagmites in the world. Incredibly beautiful and shaped dripstone shapes, stalactites, stalagmites, dripstone shapes, and columns, consisting of many shades of red, blue, purple, green, yellow, and gray in the Karaca cave. Then, we will visit the famous Sümela Monastery, Sümela Monastery is a Greek Orthodox monastery and church complex built on a steep slope 300 meters above the valley, among steep mountains and deep streams. New sections were added to this monastery, whose construction started in the 13th century and was used until 1923. Take Munch on the way.
Overnight in Macka or Trabzon  (Breakfast –  Dinner ) 

After arriving in Trabzon, we will start with a Trabzon city tour. We will visit Hagia Sophia Church, which is a beautiful example of Byzantine churches. Visit Ataturk Mansion, Panoramic view from Boztepe  Trabzon's handmade woven ( Telkari and Kazaziye ) gold and silver jewelry is famous. Drive to Uzungöl one of the famous touristic regions of Trabzon. Enjoy your time in Uzungol.
Overnight in Trabzon  (Breakfast –  Dinner ) 

After breakfast, visit a tea fabric and a Rize fabric (Feretiko) workshop, one of the most important traditional handicrafts of Rize. ardesen of Cayeli and Ceceva villages. Then, we will drive to Ayder Yaylasi (Ayder Plateau) via Çamlıhemşin. We will have a relaxing walk to enjoy this lovely plateau and have a cup of tea while chatting with the local people in the open air over the magnificent views of Ayder.
Dinner and accommodation in Trabzon  or Rize  (Breakfast –  Dinner ) 

Free time depends on flight time, transfer to  Rize Airport, or Trabzon Airport Flight to Istanbul.

- For cancellations made 29 - 15 days before the tour, 20 % refund.
- No refunds will be made on reservations made 14 days before the tour. %100 Penalty is applied.

- The locations in the itinerary can be changed with other places if closed.

   cobblestone surfaces, inclines, and steps. 
- You are required to wear comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. in summer months and a raincoat, warm clothes, winter walking shoes, umbrella, etc. in winter.
