Whirling Dervishes Show

Cappadocia is known for its geological formations resembling fairy chimneys and surreal topography, making it one of the most fantastic tourist centres today.  Start our tour of the region right after breakfast. First, we will visit the Uçhisar Castle and the town built on the highest hill of Cappadocia. We will take panoramic photos at Pigeon Valley.
Later, we will visit the Göreme Open Air Museum, home to a large monastery carved into the rocks and dozens of churches and chapels, such as the Dark Church, Apple Church, Serpentine Church, and Saint Barbara Church.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Next, we will visit a pottery shop to observe ceramics made in a style typical of the region. We will then visit a carpet workshop to learn about this traditional Turkish art and its origins from the silk route.
Paşabağı Valley, on Zelve road. Some of the mushroom-shaped rock formations here are several meters high. Many years ago, various religious groups and monks used fairy chimneys shaped by erosion as houses. Therefore, it is also known as the Monks Valley.

Visit Devrent Valley, which offers a reddish moon view and looks like a movie set. It is famous for its rock formations resembling different animal figures. Most formations, such as giant camels, seals, and dolphins, have distinctive shapes. Even a boulder resembles the Virgin Mary holding the baby Jesus. Let your imagination roam free, and try to liken the formations to other creatures yourself.
If you are interested, an optional Whirling Dervishes Show is available upon request (extra cost). Please get in touch with your guide for booking.
Dinner and overnight  in Cappadocia    (Breakfast – Lunch)

Start your day with a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise for a breathtaking view of the fairy chimneys and unique rock formations.
We will meet at 09:30 with the group returning from the balloon tour and start our panoramic tour in Goreme, an authentic town with houses built in fairy chimneys.

Afterwards, we will visit Kaymaklı Underground City, built and carved by Christians the underground for protection from Muslim Arab raids, where they could continue their daily lives underground. Afterwards, we will visit the village of Mustafa Pasha, formerly known as Sinasos, where Orthodox Greeks and Turks lived together until 1924. Here, we will observe the local life and the authentic stone houses built by Sinasos architects. The Agios Konstantinos Eleni Church, Mehmet Şakir Pasha Madrasah, old Greek houses, Maraşoğlu Bridge, and historical stone mansions are among the other structures we will see here.
We’ll have a lunch break in a local restaurant.

Finally, we will visit the Pigeon Valley and end our tour with free shopping time at the Cappadocian onyx souvenir workshop.
Overnight stay in Cappadocia. (Breakfast - Lunch )

After breakfast, we will depart for Konya (approx. 250 km—4 hrs). Upon arrival, we will visit the Mevlana Museum, the mausoleum of Jalaluddin Rumi, and the famous Sufi mystic. This museum houses the tomb of the great 13th-century Persian poet and founder of the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi. Popularly known as Rumi in Western countries, Muslims call him “Mevlana,” meaning “our master” or Mevlana Celâleddîn-i Rumi.
Take a lunch break at a local restaurant in Konya and sample the meat pide, which is particular to the region.
We will continue on our way to Antalya, passing through the Taurus Mountains and enjoying incredible views of the Anatolian steppe. Our tour ends upon our arrival at the Antalya hotel or Airport. ( Breakfast )
