Departure from Antalya for Cappadocia. We will pass through the Taurus Mountains, enjoying the incredible views of the Anatolian steppe.
We should visit Sultanhan Caravanserai in Aksaray, just as the ancient merchants did. Sultanhani Caravanserai was built by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad in 1229 on the Silk Road for the accommodation and safety of caravans. We arrive at Cappadocia after a beautiful journey and check in at our hotel.
Overnight stay in Cappadocia (Breakfast)
Hot Air Balloon Tour (optional) 04:30 - 09:00 After breakfast, start the day tour and visit Uchisar.
Uçhisar is situated on the highest hill in Cappadocia. The flow of volcanic lava shapes Uchisar Castle. From the Uçhisar viewpoint, you can see the outstanding natural beauty of Pigeon Valley and the pigeons' nests carved into the rocks.
Pigeon Valley is named after the wild pigeons that live in the region, nesting in the volcanic rocks. The farmers in the region carve these rocks into unique nests for pigeons, then collect the pigeon manure and use it in agriculture.
The Göreme Open-air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features rock-cut churches and monastic complexes. The Göreme Open-Air Museum is home to striking fairy chimneys, grand monasteries, and chapels, including the Apple Church, Snake Church, and Saint Barbara Church. You will see the scenery and figures from the Old and New Testaments on well-preserved frescoes from the iconoclastic period.
We have a lunch break at a local restaurant in Avanos.
Avanos is situated on the banks of the Kızılırmak River and is renowned for producing pottery and ceramics from the red clay mud extracted from the river since the Hittite era to the present day. Visit a ceramics workshop and experience the art of ceramic making by master potters on a spinning wheel.
Paşabağı Valley is home to the most magnificent fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Fairy chimneys, shaped by erosion over many years, were used as homes by various religious groups. Therefore, it is also known as the Monks Valley.
Devrent Valley is renowned for its rock formations that resemble various animal figures. You can see the camel easily, but you may need to use your imagination to see others, such as dolphins, seals, Napoleon's hat, kissing birds, the Virgin Mary, and various reptilian forms.
Overnight stay in Cappadocia. (Breakfast )
Today, we'll explore some of the most spectacular sights in southern Cappadocia, including the Kaymaklı Underground City, Ihlara Valley, Belisirma Village, and Selime Monastery. The tour starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp after breakfast.
Kaymakli Underground City is one of Cappadocia’s most fascinating subterranean cities. Explore its tunnels, living quarters, storage rooms, and ventilation systems, which early Christians used for shelter. These underground cities in Cappadocia were used as defences against attacks from the Romans, Persians, and Arabs, as storehouses and for living.
Ihlara Valley is one of the largest canyons in the world, spanning 14 kilometres in length, with depths of up to 120 metres, and featuring a diverse array of habitats. Also, it is a popular trekking route. The Ihlara Canyon differs from other canyons worldwide because it is one of the most important centres of culture and civilisation. It is a historical site that once housed a monastic community between the 4th and 13th centuries AD, with a thousand dwellings, a hundred hidden cave churches decorated with frescoes, and houses.
After exploring the Ihlara Valley, we'll make our way to Belisirma Village, a charming Anatolian village where we'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Selime Monastery is a magnificent, large religious complex that includes monks' quarters, a large kitchen, soaring chimneys, teaching and prayer areas, living quarters, and even a barn for animals. The middle section of the Selime Monastery has worn, faded frescoes on the ceiling and walls of the rock-cut church.
We have a short shopping break for Cappadocia souvenirs on the way for you and your friends.

This museum houses the tomb of the great 13th-century Persian poet and founder of the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi. Popularly known as Rumi in Western countries, Muslims refer to him as “Mevlana,” meaning “our master,” or Mevlana Celâleddîn-i Rumi.
We will have lunch at a local restaurant and sample the Etli pide, a speciality of the region.
We will continue on our way to Antalya, passing through the Taurus Mountains and enjoying incredible views of the Anatolian steppe. Our tour ends upon our arrival at the Antalya hotel or the Airport. (Breakfast)
