After breakfast, we will visit the notable sights and landmarks of the city. First, we will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, an incredible museum that offers many interesting artifacts from the ancient past of Anatolia. Afterward, we’ll view the whole city from Ankara Castle, which has been the symbol of Ankara for centuries Later, we will visit the Hacıbayram Mosque and the Temple of Augustus, built by the Phrygians in the 11th century BC. We’ll be shopping in traditional local shops here. The Çıkrıkçılar slope, most popular among the middle-class, is the oldest market in Ankara. From here, we will head to the Hamamönü neighborhood which offers some of the best-preserved historical civil mansions.
We will also visit some old inns such as Sulu Han and Çengel Han where you can find specially designed handmade accessories and jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, and brooches. It will be a very interesting experience for you to watch the dazzling showcases of the jewelers.
We’ll give a lunch break at a local restaurant and continue on our shopping expedition with modern malls such as Kent Park and CEPA Mall.
